5. Descriptive Summary
Draft a brief one or two paragraph description of what the College is doing to meet the standard.

The President's administrative structure is (need rate this statement!).
Fewer than (number) administrators/classified managers are responsible for oversigh of (number) employees and more than 11,500 students (Academic Instruction,Student development, and finance and administration to ensure that all annual operational and developmental objectives are achieved.
Consequently, two years ago, the President reorganized the administrative structure (downsize the number of Denas/Managers. Recently the President reorganized the administrative structure to meet two campus (Ohlone and Newark Ohlone) needs (increase the number of Deans/managers).

In response to our College Values:
Newark Campus
- Demonstrate stewardship for our human, financial, physical and environmental resources
Green Campus,

- Practice innovation and actively encourage risk-taking and entrepreneurship
First campus to have an environmentally sufficient campus (in totality)
- Open access to higher education and actively reach out to underserved populations
This campus will provide the Newark Community with more direct access to quality higher education
In response to our College Goals:
· Promote appreciation for and understanding of diverse races and culture by expanding the diversity of college personnel, international education offerings and exchanges, cross-cultural curricula, and ethnic/cultural events.
Exchange with colleges in China (students & faculty)
· Develop across the curriculum the Learning College Model, utilizing methods and technologies that hold the most promise for improving student course and program completion success rates.
Title III grant has provided programs and resources that support the Learning College Model
· Develop strategies to increase the proportion of full-time students including learning communities, cohort groups, enhanced facilities, and improved course availability.
Implementation of 16 week calendar
Increase in availability of online courses
· Provide continuous learning for all personnel associated with the District and promote an organizational structure that is adaptable, collegial, and supportive of the Learning College Model.
Title III grant provided funding for staff development activities
· Develop and implement a District-wide facilities plan which encompasses the design, construction (including furnishings and equipment), renovation and major scheduled maintenance of facilities that support programs and enhance student and employee success.

8. Planning Agenda
If the assessment process does not identify areas in need of change, simply state, No Plan Required
If the assessment process identifies areas in need of change, a planning agenda for improvement should be developed. The planning agenda should identify the activities and processes the institution should implement, or is implementing, to produce improvement. How will these plans be incorporated into the evaluation and planning processes of the institution? How will the outcomes of this planning agenda improve student learning and foster institutional improvement in general.
